Our STOMPERS ensemble is especially designed for beginner players: if you can play five notes confidently on your instrument then Stompers is the ideal home for you to stretch your musical wings.
We welcome all instruments to our beginner orchestras. Whether your child is learning ukulele or violin, percussion or piano, trumpet or saxophone, they will find a warm welcome from our brilliant and supportive group leaders.
STOMPERS orchestras explore a wide range of genres from film themes to pop songs, right through to ‘classical’ favourites. Our expert tutors tailor arrangements to help students make progress and grow in confidence.
Chances are there’s a STOMPERS group right on your doorstep: our beginner orchestras run weekly in Shrewsbury, Wem, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow so your child’s first orchestral experience is never too far away!
Our regional STOMPERS groups come together from across Shropshire for termly concerts, with many also hosting local shows.
